Israeli cybersecurity companies will continue to thrive in 2020, according to Erel Margalit, founder and chairman of Jerusalem-based venture capital firm Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP). Margalit spoke Thursday at Calcalist's WeTech Berlin 2020 conference, held in collaboration with Israel's Bank Leumi and German real estate company Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC.

After a four-year stint in the Israeli parliament, the former lawmaker and member of the Israeli parliament cybersecurity sub-committee was appointed chairman of JVP, which he founded in 1993. Since its establishment, JVP has raised over $1.4 billion in commitments across nine funds, investing in over 130 companies.
